L.T.S. - Long Term Storage; usually called Permanent Storage.
Line Haul - Tariff transportation charges to move a shipment from the point of origin to the final point of destination.
Loading Ramp - Also called a Walk Board. Professional Movers have all necessary equipment.
Local Move - Short distances move within a state; normally charged by the hour.
Long Carry - A charge assessed when a shipment must be moved more than 75 feet from the rear of the moving van to the entrance of the residence. Distances beyond 125 feet can result in further charges. NOTE: not all tariffs consider this charge.
Lowball - An unreasonably low estimate of moving costs provided solely to get business from a prospective customer.
