Relocation Consultant - A person who provides advice and information on various aspects of relocation, such as home and school information. This person may or may not be involved with the physical details of the move.

Replacement Cost Coverage - Also: Maximum Value Protection. This option further increases the liability of the carrier. Both the minimum declaration required and the rate charged for the coverage will be higher. However, this coverage provides for repair or replacement without regard to the age of the items damaged or destroyed. Extraordinarily high declarations may require supporting documentation. Coverage for automobiles is handled differently. Please ask your sale person for details.

Restricted or Prohibited Articles - Usually a carrier will not accept any perishable items including frozen foods, articles requiring refrigeration or live plants except under special conditions and always at additional cost. Hazardous materials such as paint and ammunition cannot be moved.

Reweigh - Second weighing of shipment performed at destination at the shipper's or the carrier's request.

Rigging, Hoisting or Lowering - Special services needed to remove or place an item. When these services are needed the carrier may provide the services at an additional charge, subject to availability of equipment and qualified personal. At the request of the shipper or owner of the goods a Third Party will be secured, at the expense of the owner, to perform the services.
